Reduce side effects of corticosteroids

I was recently told by my GYN that the only people who can get this candida overgrowth due to antibiotic use are people who have serious diseases such as HIV or maybe an autoimmune disease. Can you comment on this? I’m very concerned because for years I have been given many antibiotics due to consistent UTI’s. My home yeast test says I have yeast infection but my GYN said I didn’t. I don’t know how I could not have this. Just from the middle of May to middle of August I was given 4 antibiotics in a row. As of right now I have been given 7 antibiotic from the middle of May. They are going to kill me with these antibiotics. I’m going thru terrible digestive problems now. Can you comment on this. Thank you

The PCPT trial was a 7-year randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that enrolled 18,882 healthy men ≥55 years of age with a normal digital rectal examination and a PSA ≤ ng/mL. Men received either PROSCAR (finasteride 5 mg) or placebo daily. Patients were evaluated annually with PSA and digital rectal exams. Biopsies were performed for elevated PSA, an abnormal digital rectal exam , or the end of study. The incidence of Gleason score 8-10 prostate cancer was higher in men treated with finasteride (%) than in those treated with placebo (%). In a 4-year placebo-controlled clinical trial with another 5α-reductase inhibitor [AVODART (dutasteride)], similar results for Gleason score 8-10 prostate cancer were observed (1% dutasteride vs % placebo). The clinical significance of these findings with respect to use of PROPECIA by men is unknown.

When to worry:
Anaphylaxis is an emergency and must be seen immediately by a vet. Often the reaction occurs in the vet clinic (sometimes within seconds of vaccination) or soon after the animal has left the clinic, although it can take up to 24 hours to manifest (so you should keep a close eye on the animal at home). The vet will usually rush the dog straight out to a treatment room, where it will receive oxygen, IV fluids, anti-histamines, adrenaline, anti-inflammatories and sometimes other drugs to aid in the treating of low blood pressure.

Like stomachaches, headaches may be helped by taking medication with food. Sometimes, however, headaches can be caused by a mineral deficiency; some children with ADHD have been found to be deficient in magnesium, which may result in headaches. Jennifer Shu, MD, a pediatrician and author, says that parents may want to give their child multivitamins. “Equally important,” notes Shu, “is to make sure your child is eating a balanced diet -– one that is naturally rich in magnesium, B vitamins, and other helpful nutrients.” Try dark green leafy vegetables.
