Most people choose an Arnica topical based on familiarity (prior use), as well as the texture, smell, and general feeling the product creates on their skin. Some topical products can be more greasy or sticky, fragrant or scentless, etc. To determine which type of topical is best for you, be sure to check all ingredients, including those labeled “inactive.” This section is where you will locate any scents, oils, and other compounds including preservatives that differentiate the product. Noting the inactives is especially important for those who are allergic to any commonly used ingredients.
In terms of treatment response, as assessed by the PGA, steroids were more effective than vitamin D ( RR ; 95% CI to ; three studies, 1827 participants; NNTB = 5; 95% CI 5 to 7; moderate quality evidence). Statistically, the two-compound combination was better than steroid monotherapy, however the benefit was not clinically important ( RR ; 95% CI to ; two studies, 2226 participants; NNTB = 13; 95% CI 9 to 26; high quality evidence). The two-compound combination was more effective than vitamin D ( RR ; 95% CI to ; four studies, 2222 participants; NNTB = 4; 95% CI 3 to 6; moderate quality evidence).
This Salve is a life saver. I have been using it for chronic lower back pain for at least a year (two jars , just bought my third not living without it). I just had a hysterectomy and had to take pain meds while in hospital and a few after I got home. I hate the way the Pain Meds made me feel and decided to try this Salve on my belly, Guess what? The pain went away in seconds!!! I was so relieved and stopped taking the stupid Pain med. I applied Salve three times a day and the pain lessened to where I am now only needing to rub it on once a day. As long as the Sisters make this product I will buy it. Have not tried other products but will in the feature. I highly recommend the Salve to everyone. Thank you Sisters for making my life manageable with out pain 24 seven. Sending best wishes to you all.
